Is real beauty on the outside or the inside? Is real beauty on the outside or the inside?

My Grandmother sold Avon for over 40 years, she was a leader in her district and very well liked. She was the most beautiful woman I ever knew. She told me as a very small child that my beauty is what is in my heart. Beauty is as beauty does she would always say. Needeless to say, she had an array of beautification stuff, literally stuff... When it was my bath time, I had to have all of it in my bath water, sometimes it didnt smell all that good either! I would soak, and soak, and turn myself into a prune. After the long soaking bath, I had to have all the lotions and potions, too. I would have at least 9 kinds of lotions that all smelled different. Next was the powder(after the lotion of course)! I had to have all the powders all over me in every single nook and cranny... Then the hair stuff came next, and yes, I had to have all the hair stuff too. So I combed and brushed my really short hair, for at least an hour to make sure it all went in good. After this nightly ritual of spending endless summers with her, she took me to the mirror... Boy was I ugly! I had a mess, my hair had lotioned powder in it, I had powder in places it really shouldnt go, my hands were so slicked up that I couldn't hold even a comb. After we sat there for what seemed forever, she asked me " Do you think your beautiful now?" well of course I didnt! She said " Your beauty comes from your heart, it does not take all of these things to make you beautiful". She was a great inspiration to alot of people, and changed many a views on the science of what beauty really was. She did her best to show her customers how to (feel) beautiful with their looks, but she always told them they were already beautified on the inside. She was the most beautiful woman I ever knew, and still is today.
